What Does Rose Milk Tea Taste Like?

Rose milk tea tastes like a delicate blend of sweet florals and cream. The rose flavor is predominant, but it also contains some sweetness from the syrup and a hint of bitterness from the tea.

The addition of boba adds a lovely texture and a touch of chewiness to the drink.

The creamy milk ties everything together perfectly, providing a smooth and refreshing sip.

Why Drink Rose Milk Tea?

  • It’s a great alternative to regular bubble tea drinks! Rose milk tea is light and refreshing, yet it has a pleasant floral flavor that will tantalize your taste buds. If you’re looking to change up your usual boba routine, give rose milk tea a try!
  • It’s easy to make! There are no complicated steps involved in making this drink, and you can make it quickly and easily with just a few ingredients.
  • You can customize it to your liking! Rose milk tea is perfect for those who want a sweet and light drink. Below are a few ways to personalize your drink:
    • By adding more rose syrup or milk, you can make it more intense or richer in flavor.
    • You can also choose to omit the tea if you would like a caffeine-free drink.
    • Use any type of milk including oat, dairy-free, almond, or soy!
    • Play around with different boba toppings like lychee boba pearls, grass jelly, pudding, etc. to create your own unique drink experience!

How to Make Rose Syrup?

Making rose syrup is simple and requires only a few ingredients. Rose syrup has many applications and can be prepared ahead of time.

You will need sugar, water, and rose petals or buds. If you’d like to dye the syrup (which ensures that the drink will turn pink), you may use hibiscus flowers or food coloring. To make the syrup, dissolve the sugar in water and steep the roses for 20 minutes.

And of course, if you’d like to simplify things even further, we recommend purchasing pre-made rose syrup.

How to Pour Layers of Rose Milk Tea:

You can create beautiful layers in your tapioca pearl drink with an elegantly simple technique.

For 2 layers of pink and brown: Start by mixing the syrup into the milk. Pour the rose milk first into a glass filled with boba and ice. Then top with tea.

For 3 layers of pink, white, and brown: Start by dividing the milk in half. Pour syrup into one half. Pour the rose milk first into a glass filled with boba and ice. Add the plain milk, then top with tea.

For more distinct layers, we recommend pouring the liquids slowly on the back of a spoon. Make sure that the spoon itself is touching the surface of the drink, so that the layers can gently form.

We also recommend using very small ice cubes which can help slow down the flow of the liquids. You can find a special tiny ice cube tray on Amazon.
